GENERAL

The CFCC website displays the latest club news, newsletter, photos and videos. It also includes details of marinas and boat ramps that are used for CFCC cruises. In addition, there are links to other boating websites.

The website can be viewed by both members and nonmembers. Users do not have to sign on to it or enter a password.

PICTURE BELOW MENU OPTIONS

Below the menu options, a club picture is displayed on all pages. When the user clicks on a menu option, category, etc. a different club picture will be displayed. The pictures change in a random sequence. Periodically, these pictures will be replaced with new pictures.

RIGHT SIDE OF ALL SCREENS

1.   Receive E-mail Updates

If members click on “Receive E-mail Updates”, they can enter their e-mail address. Anytime that a new post (refer below) is added to the website by the CFCC Webmaster, they are automatically notified. These e-mail notices will include an “unsubscribe” option so that the member can always opt out; however, updates to posts will not create an e-mail notification. Also, changes on menu option pages (for example, Club Info, Resources, etc.) will not generate these e-mails. This heading appears on all menu option pages.

2.   Posts

Posts are articles that appear under the Categories heading (refer below).  Currently, there are five posts displayed on the Home page. When a new post is added to the website, it will replace the 1st post; the 1st post will move down to become the second post; the second post will move down to become the 3rd post and so forth. The former bottom post will roll off the Home page.   Posts that roll of the Home page, as well as posts that appear on the Home page, will always appear as a link under the applicable Category (refer below). Pictures and YouTube videos can be imbedded in any post article.

3.   Categories

There are four Categories:

Boating
Cruise News
General Info
Newsletter Archives

Under each Category, there can be any number of posts. When you click on a Category (for example, “Boating”), a list of posts under that Category is displayed on the left side of the screen. By clicking on the post title, the post article will be displayed.

The Newsletter Archives category includes CFCC “News & Crews” Newsletters by year. When you click on “Newsletter Archives”, headings for each year (i.e. the title format is “YYYY Newsletters” where “YYYY” is the year) will be displayed.

When you click on an archive title (for example, “2008 Newsletters”) all of the Newsletters within that year will be displayed in ascending month sequence (i.e. January will be first). When you click on a month title, the Newsletter for that month will be displayed. This heading appears on all Menu option pages

4.   Newsletters

The three latest Newsletters will be in this section. They will be in reverse month sequence with the latest month on top. These three Newsletters will also appear under the applicable Newsletter year under “Newsletter Archives”.  This heading appears on all Menu option pages
